Lori Wurtzel is co-owner of Wurtzel Law, PLLC, a boutique law firm she owns together with her husband, Ben. Her practice focuses on criminal trial, post-conviction, dependency, and appellate law. Lori is a former Assistant Public Defender, passionate about addressing the needs of those in need while upholding constitutional ideals. In addition to her legal experience, Lori has eight years of experience as an educator in the Florida public school system.
Lori is on the Board of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers, is involved with the Central Florida Foundation, and serves on the Young Professionals Board for Second Harvest Food Bank. Lori is also involved in several local organizations as a volunteer and is a member of the Dommerich Elementary PTA.
Lori has her B.S. from Vanderbilt University and earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. Although Lori was born in Cincinnati, Ohio (and still cheers for Cincinnati sports teams), Lori was eager to settle in Maitland, where her husband was born and raised. Now, Lori, her husband, their two daughters and their dog, Fiona, are proud members of the Maitland community. Lori’s family can generally be found enjoying community events and exploring all of the stores, restaurants, parks, and museums that Maitland has to offer.
