Biography

Education

Mark Reggentin’s 30 years of experience working for local governments began with an internship at the Iowa City Planning Department that he maintained throughout his graduate studies at the University of Iowa.


Professional Career
After graduating with a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning, Mark spent one year in the private sector with Henigar and Ray Engineering, where he consulted with local government throughout Florida on comprehensive long-range planning.


Public Service
His love for public service quickly led him back to city government and the City of Lake Mary, where he helped create a blueprint for the Lake Mary of today. In 1993, Mark was appointed as the Community Development Director for Mount Dora and, under his leadership, this city has received numerous national awards and accolades for being a livable, walkable, and culturally focused community. In 2015, Mark was appointed as Deputy City Manager of the City of Mount Dora. After a brief time in the City of Apopka, Mark joined the City of Maitland as the Assistant City Manager in September 2016. He was appointed as Interim City Manager on June 6, 2022, following the passing of City Manager Sharon Anselmo.


Personal Life
Mark was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He also has a Bachelor’s in Geology and Environmental Systems from Cornell College. Mark is a member of the International City Managers Association, Florida City and County Managers Association, American Institute of Certified Planners and American Planning Association. Mark and his wife, Mimi, and their two sons have lived in Maitland since 2000.
