[ARCHIVED] Garbage and Recycling Notification - Nov. 11, 2022

Residential yard debris is collected by WastePro each Wednesday in the City of Maitland. The next scheduled collection following Tropical Storm Nicole is Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Yard debris must be contained within bags or containers weighing no more than 50 pounds each or tied together in bundles measuring no longer than 4 feet to ensure proper curbside pickup.

Yard waste for collection must be placed at the curb – not in the street. Do not throw yard waste or other storm debris in the street. Piles of residential yard waste will not be collected for this storm event.

City of Maitland crews are working in some areas to address only large trees damaged by the storm within public right of way. They also are preparing streets for sweeping. They are not collecting residential yard waste.

Residential garbage and recycling canceled on Thursday due to Tropical Storm Nicole will be collected on the next regularly scheduled pickup date – Monday, Nov. 14.
