Work will begin Jan. 5, 2026, to replace aging and broken sections of pedestrian sidewalks in the Winfield at Maitland Park residential neighborhood.
Contractors for the City of Maitland are expected to replace nearly 3,000 square yards of concrete sidewalks within the public right of way along Bobtail Drive, Birman Street, Korat Lane, Tabby Lane, Tortoise Shell Drive, Falkner Road and Fennell Street. In some areas, tree roots must be pruned before the new sidewalks can be built.
The changes will improve pedestrian safety along Winfield’s streets, which the city resurfaced in October.
