Maitland City Hall and city administrative offices will close Thursday, Dec. 25, for the Christmas holiday. Offices will reopen at 7 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29.
Residential yard waste and recycling will not be collected Thursday. Recycling pickup is rescheduled to Saturday, Dec. 27. Garbage will be collected the next scheduled pickup day.
Homeowners are encouraged to use recycling containers for wrapping paper, cardboard boxes and other recyclable items. Do not use plastic bags to contain recyclables.
Garbage that will not fit into the appropriate waste container should be placed next to the container – please contact the city’s utility billing office at utilities@itsmymaitland.com or call (407) 539-6265 to ensure that extra garbage is picked up.
Christmas trees should be placed at the curb – not in the street – on scheduled yard waste collection dates. Trees taller than six feet should be cut down to smaller pieces. Trees do not need to be bundled.
