Multiple teams of contracted yard debris haulers have completed their initial collections following Hurricane Milton. A second sweep will be conducted through residential neighborhoods to catch any homes missed by the first pass.

Multiple teams of contracted yard debris haulers have completed their initial collections following Hurricane Milton.

A second sweep will be conducted through residential neighborhoods to catch any homes missed by the first pass. Loose debris collections are daily from sunrise to sunset until the second and final pass is completed.

Waste Pro will resume regular yard debris collections on Wednesday – these materials must be bagged or placed in curbside collection containers weighing no more than 50 pounds each. Tie together tree limbs in bundles measuring no longer than 4 feet.

For questions regarding yard debris, e-mail rsargent@itsmymaitland.com or call (407) 457-5211.

All yard debris must be properly placed at the curb to ensure collection:

• Separate piles of loose yard waste from non-vegetative debris like household garbage, furniture and fencing. Remove garbage bags from loose debris piles. Mixed piles will not be picked up.

• Neighbors should combine small piles into bigger piles. Large equipment used by waste haulers will not collect small piles left at the curb.

• Small amounts of yard debris can be bagged or placed in curbside collection containers weighing no more than 50 pounds each. Tie together tree limbs in bundles measuring no longer than 4 feet.

• Avoid placing bulk household waste at the curb. Waste Pro is primarily focused on collecting yard debris until demand subsides. Large bulk items likely will sit at the curb longer.

• Do not place debris piles next to trees, light poles or vehicles. These are obstructions or could be damaged by mechanical claw trucks and front-end loaders that pick up yard waste.

• Pull debris away from utility boxes.
