City Of Maitland Involvement
Vance currently serves on the Maitland City Council on seat #2. Prior to being voted onto the council, Vance Guthrie served on Maitland’s Lakes Advisory Board between 2013 and 2016. He joined Maitland’s Planning and Zoning Commission in 2017. Vance is also a member of Maitland Chamber of Commerce. Vance is an avid supporter of a clean Maitland environment and has been very active in Maitland Lake clean-ups.
Background
Vance Guthrie grew up in the College Park area of Orlando. Vance then attended college in Wilmington, NC where he received a degree in Hospitality Management and served two terms as Student Government Association President. In 2006, Vance moved back to the area and started a Maitland-owned business. He is married to Jessica Guthrie who grew up in Maitland and had attended Edgewater High School with Vance. They have been married for 12 years.
Additional Activities and Contributions
Vance is President of “Clan Guthrie USA” which is a 501c3 not-for-profit fraternal Scottish organization with over 500 members. Vance also serves on the BOD for Eastwind Condo Association in Ponce Inlet, FL., and Vance is the President of the Druid Isle Homeowner’s Association in Maitland.
