Welcome to the Maitland Fire-Rescue Department website.

The Maitland Fire-Rescue Department is a progressive, customer-service oriented agency that continuously strives to provide the highest level of fire-rescue services available. As Fire Chief, I am tremendously proud to lead a dedicated and professional team of first responders.

As you explore this site, you will see that the department is structured to provide high-quality emergency services. There is a great deal of pride and ownership within this department and all of our members. I look forward to carrying on a tradition of professional and compassionate service to our community. Thank you for visiting the website and please do not hesitate to let me know if we can be of any assistance to you. We welcome your questions and comments.

Take precautions to help control the spread of respiratory illnesses like COVID-19 throughout the community.

When going out with groups of people, please remember to wear a face covering whenever possible. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating, and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home when you are sick with respiratory symptoms. These conditions, however, are more likely due to influenza, a cold or other common illnesses. Cover coughs and sneezes, and throw tissues in a trash can. If no tissue is available, cough into your elbow. Clean frequently touched surfaces around your home or office (tables, countertops, light switches, doorknobs, and cabinet handles) using a regular household detergent and water. If you are sick, get medical care.

For question about COVID-19, contact the Florida Department of Health at (407) 723-5004 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. The statewide COVID-19 Call Center is 1-866-779-6121 and is available from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays.
