Maitland 2018 Municipal Election



A General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, for the purpose of electing a Mayor. If a run-off election is necessary, it will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. The person elected will serve a three-year term commencing April 9, 2018.

Any person, who is a resident of the City, has the qualifications of an elector therein and has resided in the City of Maitland for the six-month period prior to qualifying, may become a candidate for nomination to the office of City Council.
The qualifying period officially opens at Noon on Monday, January 22, 2018 and closes at Noon on Friday, January 26, 2018. Individuals may announce their candidacy by completing forms provided by the City Clerk, any time prior to the qualifying period.
The polling places for the upcoming Municipal Election will be Maitland City Hall, 1776 Independence Lane, and the First Baptist Church of Maitland, 1950 Mohican Trial, Maitland, Florida. The polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Voter registration application forms are available at Maitland City Hall, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, FL. City Hall business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., weekdays.
