Recap of September 17, 2017, Facebook video:
Below is recap of the Sunday, September 17, 2017, Facebook video:

  • Garbage and yard waste  - but not storm debris - pickups will resume as scheduled.
  • If there is a missed pickup, please report it to utilities@itsmymaitland.com or call 407-539-6265.
Storm debris removal

  • The City will meet with the contracted debris removal hauler on Monday to discuss strategy for the most efficient removal with priorities in the hardest hit areas. Since the City will control the strategy and communication of the debris removal, expect a map and details to follow this week.
  • City crews also will resume storm debris cleanup from Maitland streets and parks.
  • The process may take a few weeks to a few months. Thanks in advance for your patience.
Power Restoration Update

  • Duke Energy crews are in neighborhoods.
  • City personnel in the field have been reporting locations of trucks. This is the only way we have to notify residents the locations of utility crews.
  • The City has not received information on where and how Duke crews are deployed.
  • The City has received information from the resident information line and forwarding this information to Duke to assist with power restoration. The resident information line is 407-875-2850, staffed from Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Duke still maintains power will be restored by 11:59 p.m. tonight.
  • As mentioned yesterday, if your neighbors have power but you do not, please report your outage to Duke.
