Putting customers first at all times is the watchword of the Finance Department. Serving both internal and external customers in a helpful and professional manner is Job One.
This is accomplished though the following divisions:
Financial Services effectively safeguards City assets in compliance with laws, rules, and regulations while efficiently providing accountability consistent with professional standards and good judgment. This division encompasses general accounting and reporting, purchasing and accounts payable, payroll processing, occupational licenses, and investment of City funds.
Customer Services works to exceed the expectations of their customers by responding to their needs on a timely basis, in a professional and courteous manner, and with definitive information. Customer Services is responsible for utility billing, administering the Citys residential and commercial solid waste programs, processing requests for new utility service, and dispatching field personnel to investigate utility service concerns. Personnel in this division also act as the Citys ambassadors by staffing the Front Desk at City Hall.
