Forum 6 Summary
The master plan for the City Hall/central park was influenced by the community's expectations for the types of services provided by the surrounding businesses. Open activity areas were proposed on the sides of the buildings facing the central area. This design creates outdoor spaces for daily uses such as patio dining as well as special functions held by the community. Overflow from festivals, farmers markets and concert into these area create more opportunity for the surrounding vendors to service the attending audiences. The community is asking for the types of businesses in the redevelopment that will not only draw people into the downtown but also supply neighborhood services for the new residents to the area.
