This board was used in the first 3 community forum meetings to show the possible locations of the new City Hall building and central park area to Maitland citizens. Staff listened and listed their comments describing their 'Wants', 'Concerns' and 'Solutions' for each scenario. They were also asked to contribute for any additional ideas concerning the location that may not have been shown graphically at these meetings.

Once the location possibilities were discussed and documented, the input gleaned from these first 3 meetings was then used to create 2 more boards that incorporated the requested design elements. These boards were then brought back to the community in the 4th and 5th Community Forum meetings.

Diagram 'A' shows a large park area centered on Horatio Avenue between Maitland Avenue and Orlando Avenue.

Diagram 'B' shows the option of a central park area centered on Horatio Avenue between Maitland Avenue and Orlando Avenue. It also incorporates the City Hall building which is located in the park as a focal point for Horatio Avenue.

Diagram 'C' shows the City Hall building not being used as a focal point on Horatio but as a building located along the northwest side of the Independence Lane and Horatio Avenue intersection.
