Welcome: The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated.

V.             Recommendation: Petition No. 2007-03 (ALU) Future Land Use Map and Text Amendments/ Identify boundary of the proposed Maitland Town Center

Applicant: The City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751.

Location: The subject area is located between two major roadways, US 17-92 on the east and Maitland Avenue on the west. George Avenue is the northern boundary and Packwood Avenue is the southern boundary. The subject area is bisected by Horatio Avenue. (This item was tabled at the meeting of May 1, 2008.)

Request:  This amendment seeks to identify the boundary location of the proposed Maitland Town Center addressing residential density and non-residential intensity within those boundaries.

VI.          Recommendation: Petition No. 2008-01 (SUB) Maitland Concourse South Phase 2 - First Revision (Replat) Final Subdivision Plat

Applicant: Lamm & Company Partners (David Lamm), 968 Baldwin Lane, Orlando, Florida 32814

Location: The subject area is located at 0 Concourse Parkway, Maitland, Florida 32751, between Maitland Blvd. and Sandspur Road just west of Maitland Avenue.

Request: The applicant requests to replat lots 8 through 11 of Maitland Concourse South Phase 2, to create Lots 8A and 8B and Lots 11A and 11B.

VII.       Recommendation: Letter of Understanding (LOU)

Applicant: The City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751.

Request: Review a proposed Letter of Understanding (LOU) to be used as a guideline for the preparation and review of the EAR.  The intent of the LOU is to formulate a   foundation for the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR) and to request DCA’s concurrence.

Such a person must provide a method for recording the proceedings.
