Welcome The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated.

5. Public Hearing: Petition No. 2004-08 (AZ)(PD) Southeast Vehicle Wash
Applicant: Southeast Vehicle Wash, 933 Lee Road, Orlando, FL 32810.
Location: The property is located south of Summit Center Way and north of Maitland Summit Boulevard.
Request: The zoning amendment proposes to obtain approval of a final development plan for construction of an unmanned car wash on the remaining vacant lot situated between 7-Eleven & Wendy’s. The site is currently zoned with a P-D planned development zoning district.

6. Recommendation: Petition No. 2004-08 (AZ) City of Maitland
Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751
Request: Amend Section 21-6. Matrix 1 District Requirements to clarify height requirements and standards set forth in the Downtown Master Plan for those properties designated as “Downtown Maitland” on the City of Maitland Future Land Use Map Series-Map 1, of its 2001-2020 Comprehensive Development Plan, all of which are within either the GC, RG-3 and or MORC districts, by adding footnote (15) to the height column for each district.
Amend Section 21-6. Matrix 1 District Requirements to reference specific parking guidelines for the GC, RG-3 and MORC districts by adding footnote (16) to the “# of parking spaces” column for each district.
Amend Section 21-22. Off-street parking and loading, of the Maitland City Code to add Subsection G. under Section I for parking, streetscape, buffering and pedestrian connections for “Downtown Maitland”.
