Welcome The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated.

5. Public Hearing - Petition No 2004-08 (AZ) City of Maitland
Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751
Request: Amend Section 21-6. Matrix 1 District Requirements to clarify height requirements and standards set forth in the Downtown Master Plan for those properties designated as “Downtown Maitland” on the City of Maitland Future Land Use Map Series-Map 1, of its 2001-2020 Comprehensive Development Plan, all of which are within either the GC, RG-3 and or MORC districts, by adding footnote (15) to the height column for each district.
Amend Section 21-6. Matrix 1 District Requirements to reference specific parking guidelines for the GC, RG-3 and MORC districts by adding footnote (16) to the “# of parking spaces” column for each district.
Amend Section 21-22. Off-street parking and loading, of the Maitland City Code to add Subsection G. under Section I for parking, streetscape, buffering and pedestrian connections for “Downtown Maitland”.

6. Public Hearing - Petition No 2004-09(AZ) City of Maitland
Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida
Request: Amend Section 21-5. XIII. Alcoholic beverages. c. Hours of Sale to eliminate this section from the zoning code due to duplications that exist within Section 3-2 of the Maitland City Code. (Modifications are proposed to Section 3-2 of the City Code relative to this above topic. Section 3-2 does not pertain to land development regulation and will be reviewed by City Council. (Section 3-2 is noted herein for reference only.)

Applicant: Orlando Sportsplex, Ltd., 8701 Maitland Summit Boulevard, Orlando 32810.
Location: The property lies west of Interstate 4, includes the RDV Sportsplex, and is bounded on the north by office/warehouse buildings; on the south by Maitland Boulevard; on the east by Keller Road; and on the west by Maitland Summit Boulevard.
Request: The zoning amendment proposes to rezone property from an Orange County P-D (Planned Development District) to a City of Maitland, PD (Planned Development District). The proposed rezoning serves to establish a Maitland zoning category for the site as required following annexation of property into the City of Maitland, Florida.
