Welcome: The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. IV. Public Hearing: Public School Facilities Element – School Concurrency
Applicant: The City of Maitland
Request: To consider an amendment to the 2001-2020 City of Maitland Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) for the adoption of the Public School Facilities Element (P.S.F.E.) into the CDP pursuant to Chapter 163 Part II F.S. This will include modifications to the Capital Improvement Element and Intergovernmental Coordination Element
V. Public Hearing: Petition No. 2008-01 (SPR) 1900/1901 Choctaw Trail
Request: Site Plan Review for the renovation/reconstruction of Dommerich Elementary School, 1900 Choctaw Trail, and Maitland Middle School, 1901 Choctaw Trail, Maitland, Florida 32751. The Site Plan is presented pursuant to Section 21-20. Floating Zone. II Permitted principal uses and structures, Educational institutions. More specifically, the Planning and Zoning Commission will review the Site Plan for consistency with the City of Maitland’s Comprehensive Development Plan related to school siting criteria pursuant to Future Land Use Element, Policy 2.6 and Standards 2.6.1 through 2.6.4 and Policy 2.7.

VI. Recommendation: Petition No. 2008-01(PCU) 331 Lake Avenue The Paragon School
Applicant: Helen Leonard for The Paragon School, 331 Lake Avenue, Maitland, Florida.
The property is currently owned by The Church of the Good Shepherd, 331 Lake Avenue, Maitland, Florida. The application is submitted pursuant to Maitland City Code Section 21-20. Floating Zone, Public/Semi-Public Uses. of the Maitland City Code.
Request: The application is submitted by The Paragon School-Helen Leonard, Director, to allow the establishment of a school within an existing building containing approximately 2300 square feet on The Church of the Good Shepherd site. No additional square footage is proposed in connection with this application.
Location: 331 Lake Avenue, Maitland, Florida.
