Welcome: The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated.

IV.              Public Hearing: Petition No. 2008-02 (PCU) 450 S. Wymore Road - New Hope for Kids

            Applicant: New Hope for Kids – David Joswick, 205 E. SR 436, Fern Park, Florida 32730. The current property owners are Charles W. Clayton, Jr., CCCH Wymore Property, LLC & E.G. Banks, 1190 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, Florida 32789.

            Request: The application requests approval of a permitted conditional use to construct a 12,184 square foot Grief Counseling Center on the site pursuant to Section 21-20. Floating Zone, Public/Semi-Public Uses. V. Permitted Conditional Uses. A. Residential Land Use Districts. 5. Grief Counseling Center.

Location: The property is contiguous on the south to the Florida Power Corporation Substation; and is situated between two retention ponds of the Lake Colony Phase 2 single family residential subdivision. The property contains .90 acres more or less.

V.                 Public Hearing: Petition No. 2008-01(PCU) 331 Lake Avenue - The Paragon School

            Applicant: Helen Leonard for The Paragon School, 331 Lake Avenue, Maitland, Florida.

            The property is currently owned by The Church of the Good Shepherd, 331 Lake Avenue, Maitland, Florida. The application is submitted pursuant to Maitland City Code Section 21-20. Floating Zone, Public/Semi-Public Uses.  of the Maitland City Code.

Request: The application is submitted by The Paragon School-Helen Leonard, Director,  to allow the establishment of a school within an existing building containing approximately 2300 square feet on The Church of the Good Shepherd site. No additional square footage is proposed in connection with this application.

VI.              Recommendation:Petition No. 2007-02 (AZ) Zoning Amendment Grove Street from PD to RG-1

Applicant: The application has been filed by the current property owner, Dr. Rameshwar N. Mathur, 1185 Sand Pine Circle, Titusville, Florida 32769.

Request: The applicant proposes to change the zoning classification of the subject property from PD, Planned Development District to RG-1, Multiple Family Residential District.

Location: The property is located east of Grove Street, along the southwestern portion of Park Lake and contains 3.29 acres more or less.
