V.           Recommendation: Development Agreement - Uptown Maitland, LLC (Uptown Maitland East)

Applicant: Uptown Maitland, LLC, 670 North Orlando Avenue, Suite 101, Maitland, Florida, 32751. 

Request: The applicant proposes to enter into a developent agreement with the City of Maitland to allow Uptown Maitland, LLC, to construct up to 96 multi-family residential units and up to 30,000 square feet of retail/professional office space, with a maximum height of fifty-five feet (excluding roof elements and focal points not intended for human occupancy.  The proposed Development Agreement also provides for the installation of streetscape along US Highway 17-92, George Avenue and an extension of Sybelia Parkway (Swoope Extension north) and the construction of Swoope Avenue north to Orlando Avenue and a retention pond to serve the Packwood District of Downtown Maitland. 

Location: The property is located on the east side of U.S. Highway 17-92 and is situated north of George Avenue, in the City of Maitland, Florida.
