Welcome: The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated.

IV.          Recommendation: Petition 2006-03 (AZ)  Summit South Parcel 4 (Lot 3) and 4R

Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751.

Request: The City of Maitland proposes to amend the current zoning category from Orange County P-D (Planned Development) district to a City of Maitland PD (Planned Development) district. The Planned Development District would permit the existing commercial/retail uses to remain and no development is proposed as part of this zoning amendment. The site was a part of the Summit Annexation Area “A”.

Location: Sites include Laser Wash-Car Wash, Chick-fil-A, 7-Eleven, and “The Summit” entrance sign on the south side of Maitland Boulevard. All properties are located west of I-4 and south of Maitland Boulevard.

V.             Discussion:  Petition No. 2006-09 (SPR) 400/450 S. Orlando Avenue (Maitland Mixed Use)

Applicant:  Shoppes of Maitland L.L.C., 7505 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819

Request: The application has been filed for a Major Change to an approved site plan pursuant to Section 7.5-85. Revision of Site Plan of the Maitland City Code. The applicant requests to amend the approved site plan to remove a condition of approval for the Reciprocal Cross Access Easement between the subject property and the property to the north (the location of the Walgreens Drug Store).

Location: The property is located at 400/450 S. Orlando Avenue (N.E. Corner of S. Orlando Avenue and Ventris Avenue), Maitland, FL 32751

Such a person must provide a method for recording the proceedings.
