AGENDA

 

Welcome: The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated. One or more members of the City Council and/or other City Boards may be present at this meeting and may speak.

III.          Approval of Minutes – March 17, 2011

IV.           Public Period for non-agenda items (up to 15 minutes with time limit of three minutes per person)

V.              Discussion: Land Development Regulation Modification - This item includes a review of the Table of Contents for the Land Development Regulations within the Maitland City Code, User/Stakeholder Review and status for the Administrative Procedures update.

VI.           Discussion: Petition No. 2011-03 (ALU) Mobility Plan CDP Amendment

Applicant:  City of Maitland

Request: This amendment to the CDP will establish a “Mobility Plan” that addresses land use and transportation strategies to support and fund mobility, including alternative modes of transportation.

VII.        Discussion: Petition No. 2011-02 (ALU) Lakes of Maitland Condominimum Inc. – CDP Amendment

Applicant:  Lakes of Maitland Condominimum Inc.

Request: The proposed amendment would add a Policy and Standards to the Future Land Use Element to allow a mix of residential scale retail and personal service uses within the high density residential land use districts where the district is contiguous to a rail line and adjacent to Downtown Maitland. It would require a minimum building area for establishing these uses and would provide performance standards to ensure conformity and compatibility with surrounding uses.

VIII.     Discussion: Petition No. 2011-01 (ALU) 2012-2016 CIP, Capital Improvements Element (CIE)/Public Schools Facilities Element (PSFE) and Amendment to the Interlocal Agreement for Schools (ILA)

Applicant:  City of Maitland

Request: Annual CIP Five-year update and includes modifications to the Public School Facilities Element Capital Improvement Element relating to Orange County Public Schools and includes proposed Amendments to the existing Interlocal Agreement for Schools (ILA)
