Welcome: The Commission welcomes public comment. To ensure that the concerns of all parties are given fair consideration at the appropriate stages of the process, it is important that decorum is maintained. When addressing the Commission, please address all statements to the Chair. Since an audio record is being made of the meeting, individuals addressing the Commission are asked to use the lectern so that the comments may be recorded. In addition, individuals addressing the Commission must provide their name and address for the record. During public hearings, an announcement will be made to open and close the public comment stages of the hearing. Any written statements or other exhibits shall be provided to the staff representative, if desired to be made a part of the meeting record. Your involvement is essential to the process and is appreciated.

V.              Public Hearing: Petition No. 2009-01 (PCU) 450 South Wymore Road.

Applicant: New Hope for Kids – David Joswick, 205 E. SR 436, Fern Park, Florida 32730.

Location: The property is contiguous on the south to the Florida Power Corporation Substation; and is situated between two retention ponds of the Lake Colony Phase 2 single family residential subdivision. The property contains .90 acres more or less.

Request: The application requests approval of a permitted conditional use to construct a Grief Counseling Center on the site pursuant to Section 21-20. Floating Zone, Public/Semi-Public Uses. V. Permitted Conditional Uses. A. Residential Land Use Districts. 5. Grief Counseling Center.

VI.           Status Report: The Brossier Company, First Amendment to Agreement for Redevelopment and Disposition of Property and Access to City Incentives (Maitland Town Center)

Applicant: The Brossier Company, 222 W. Comstock Ave, Suite 115, Winter Park, Florida 32792

Request: The Brossier Company is requesting consideration of a First Amendment to the Agreement for Redevelopment and Disposition of Property and Access to City Incentives to allow for the construction of the new Maitland Fire Station with associated parking and to allow for the temporary relocation of the MFD during the construction activities on site.

Such a person must provide a method for recording the proceedings.
