2.      Approval of Meeting Summary from April 16, 2009

3.      Recommendation: Right-of-Way Abandonment - Penney

      Applicant:  Tecumseh S. and Frances H. Penney, 955 Gamewell Avenue, Maitland, Florida 32751

      Location:  Greenwood Road

Request: The applicants request the abandonment of a 9.51-foot portion of right-of-way on Greenwood Road in order to meet the 20-foot yard requirement in the RS-3 zoning district.

4.      Recommendation: Petition No. 2009-03 (BZA) 150 George Avenue

Applicant: Gordon Anthony, 915 Bonita Drive, Winter Park, Florida 32789

Location: 150 George Avenue and Lot 2, Anthony Manor, Maitland, Florida 32751

Request: The applicant has requested a variance to allow for: 1) an 80-foot lot width for the proposed Lot 1, in lieu of the required 85-feet; and 2) an encroachment of a wall, 8 feet in height, within the required front yard of the proposed Lot 2. The applicant proposes to replat the subject property to create a three lot single family residential subdivision. (The subdivision replat is a separate application review process and is not a part of the application for variance.). The property is located in the RS-2, single-family residential zoning district.

Request: The applicant has requested a 5-foot variance to allow an expansion of the garage within the 15-foot northern required side yard. The applicant proposes to extend the existing 2 car garage, to create a 3 car garage with a game room on the second floor above the garage. This expansion would permit the garage to be located 10 feet from the northern side yard property line in lieu of the required 15 feet. The property is located in the RS-1, single-family residential zoning district.

6.      Decision: Petition No. 2009-01 (SPR) 1450 S. Orlando Avenue

Location:  1450 S. Orlando Avenue

Request: The applicant requests site plan review to install a 29-foot gate on driveway for multi-purpose use to block vehicle traffic at night, protect children during the day, and allow school pick-up during specified hours.

7.      Recommendation: Petition No. 2009-01 (AZ)(PD) 250 North Swoope Avenue

Applicant: Kathy Hattaway, AICP, HCI, P.O. Box 1499211, Orlando, Florida 32814

Location: 250 North Swoope Avenue, Maitland, Florida 32751

Request: The applicant requests to rezone property from MORC (Mixed Use District) to PD (Planned Development District) and to incorporate said lot into the Maitland Montessori Planned Development for purpose of adding a play area.

8.      Recommendation: Petition No. 2009-01 (AZ) 1951 Summit Tower Blvd

Request: As proposed the zoning amendment would change the existing zoning category from an Orange County classification of P-D planned development, to a City of Maitland category of PD, planned development district.

9.      Recommendation: Petition No. 2009-02 (AZ) 1991 Summit Park Drive

Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751

Request: As proposed the zoning amendment would change the existing zoning category from an Orange County classification of P-D planned development, to a City of Maitland category of PD, planned development district.
