AGENDA

1.       Call to Order/Pledge of Allegiance/Introductions

2.       Approval of Meeting Summary from March 6, 2008 and March 20, 2008

3.       Recommendation: Petition No. 2007-03 (AZ)(PD) 236 North Swoope Avenue

Applicant: Adele Fondo, Maitland Montessori School, 236 North Swoope Avenue, Maitland, FL 32751

Location: 236 North Swoope Avenue, Maitland, Florida 32751

Request: The applicant requests to change the current zoning classifications from PO-1 (Professional Office District) and MORC (Mixed Use District) to a PD (Planned Development District) and to obtain approval of a preliminary development plan to construct an addition to the existing elementary school.

4.       Recommendation: Petition No. 2008-01 (AZ)(PD) 1837 Fennell Street

      Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751

      Location: 1837 Fennell Street, Maitland, Florida 32751

Request: The applicant proposes to obtain approval of a final development plan to permit the construction of a 17,289 square foot City of Maitland, Police Station with surface parking. As proposed, the Police Station would be located between the existing Maitland Fire Station to the west, baseball fields on the east and the Public Works complex on the north.

5.       Recommendation: Petition No. 2008-02 (ALU) Public School Facilities Element – School Concurrency

      Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751

Request: To consider an amendment to the 2001-2020 City of Maitland Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) for the adoption of the Public School Facilities Element (P.S.F.E.) into the CDP pursuant to Chapter 163 Part II F.S. This will include modifications to the Capital Improvement Element and Intergovernmental Coordination Element.
