3.       Recommendation: Petition No. 2014-06 (BZA) 719 Terra Place (This shall include a Public Period)

        Applicant: Gloria and Roger Pickar, 719 Terra Place, Maitland, Florida 32751.

        Location: 719 Terra Place, Maitland, Florida 32751.

Request: The applicants request variances to permit the construction of a pool screen enclosure, deck, and arbor 3 feet from the southwest rear property line and to install a pool screen enclosure and deck from 1 to 3 feet from northwest rear property line. The property is located in the RS-2, Single-Family Residential District.

4.      Discussion: Draft Ordinance – Amendment to Chapter 5, Article VI. Signs

Applicant: City of Maitland, 1776 Independence Lane, Maitland, Florida 32751

        Location:  City of Maitland

Discussion: This is a discussion on an update and revision to the Code of Ordinances relative to signage within the City of Maitland. The Sign Code update will repeal and replace the Maitland City Code, Chapter 5, Article VI. Signs. The update includes, but is not limited to, providing a purpose, definitions, permitting processes and appeals from sign permit denials, prohibited signage, limitations on size, standards for lighting and illumination, and for enforcement.
